Hourly Support Rates - Effective 1/1/2008 Print E-mail

Operating hours: 8:30am to 6:30pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, excluding specified holidays (see footnote 1). Services scheduled for after-hours, weekends or holidays in advance are billed 1.25 times the regular rate. Unscheduled and Emergency services provided outside of those hours are subject to being billed at 1.5 times the regular rate.

Extended Area Travel

$30.00 per 30 min.

Travel outside base service area.  See footnote 5.

Scheduled after-hours, weekend and holiday support

$123.75/hr

1.25 times standard rate.

Unscheduled/Emergency after-hours, weekend and holiday support

$148.50/hr
$178.50/first hr.

1.50 times standard rate.  On holidays or their adjoining weekends a 2-hour minimum applies to on-site visits.

Warranty Support

No Charge

Any support VSS provides to fix a problem under our 30-day warranty policy.  See footnote 6.

Footnotes:

  1. The following are our company holidays - New Year's - Dec. 31 and Jan 1, Memorial Day - May 26, Independence Day - July 4, Labor Day - Sept. 1, Veterans Day - Nov. 11, Thanksgiving - Nov. 27 and 28, Christmas holiday - Dec 24-26.
  2. Depot service time is only counted when your system is actively being worked on which can be advantageous. Example: If your hard drive had failed and needed data recovery and an automated software tool was employed to recover the data that took eight hours but only two hours were spent by a technician doing the initial analysis and tool setup then you would only be billed for the two hours. If it was done on-site then it would be billed at the full eight hours.
  3. Remote support consists of telephone support and/or the use of remote control software to investigate and/or fix problems on your systems.  
  4. If you call to ask usage questions related to a new system installation performed by or changes made by Vital Systems Support in the previous 14 days there will be no charge for assistance not exceeding 15 minutes.
  5. The Base Service Area covers the metro Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area from Miami-Dade County's SW 136th Street to the South and Broward's Hillsboro Blvd to the North. 
  6. Vital Systems Support stands behind its work as such we provide a 30-day warranty on issues directly related to work VSS performed. This does not apply to issues created by vendor's automatic or customer initiated updates to operating systems or applications, hardware failures, or settings changes made by you or your assigns.

Payment Terms:
We accept Cash, Check and Major Credit Cards as forms of payment.   New Clients:  Payment due upon completion of on-site service.   Established clients can request invoicing with a maximum of Net 14 payment term.  Any invoice more than 30 days past due will incur a 1.5% monthly interest charge on the outstanding balance.  VSS does not directly provide financing of products or services but works with reputable financing companies to arrange an appropriate lease or loan package to suit your needs.
